ALL 3 catalogues, the full 3 days of the collection of unique manuscripts owned by Henry Yates Thompson. of Portland Square, London. Held on 3rd June 1919 the23rd of March 1920 & the 22nd June 1921. Catalogue 1 has 28 illuminated manuscripts and 2 printed works. Catalogue 2 has 26 illuminated manuscripts and 8 books. Catalogue 3 has 16 illuminated manuscripts & 15 books. Condition & Contents: part 1 has a detached front wrapper, but no loss, 61 pages + 41 sepia or monotone plates, many folding. Part 2 has 73 pages + 49 similar plates mostly fold-out. This sale included the Omer Psalter. Part 3 has. 70 pages + 44 plates inc a colour frontispiece. All printed at the Dryden Press with uncut edges on quality cream stock. Part 3 has prices realised and buyers names fro lots 65-95 a slip for people to ask for a "Prices Realised sheet". Each part has an introductory by the owner. It appears having collected 100 manuscripts he was always going to sell them. The condition other than the cover being detached on part 1 is excellent, clean tight and fresh to the touch. Quarto.
