This edition is 'to some extent' seen as a new book with corrections from the first and also with some additions; including an index with Chinese characters. Chestnut brown card slipcase with one side illustrated with terracotta tomb warriors (main image). As one would expect with a Folio Society publication, everything about these two books is elegantly and carefully curated from the slipcase to the gilt (gold) decorated boards, from the typography to the many illustrations. The slipcase is in a sound state with the mildest of fading and marking in places. Both books are filled with b/w illustrations and maps etc plus both have two sections with colour photos/drawings. Condition: remarkably (or perhaps not) similar i.e. both volumes are in a very good overall state - v. tight binding - a hint of tanning on the books edges. pp.xxii, 402/8vo (vol.
