Yellow cloth boards surprisingly not faded, a little light dustiness, wrapper has some wear with a closed tear at front flap edge at bottom edge and a little piece missing from back at bottom also, price unclipped. Some edge chips and corner wear and a light handled feel with some fading at edges. Ink inscription of "Richard B. White Christmas 1944" to FFEP. Book was first published in October 1943 this was the 2nd edition of July 1944. A mystery of a missing Ivory horn and a cursed house and the twins Jack & Jill. Good+ to VG.
