A comprehensive obesity management could be achieved only by a multidisciplinary obesity management team.Lifestyle modifications, pharmacotherapy, and bariatric surgery are the main lines of obesity treatment. Lifestyle interventions, have been demonstrated to be the least effective. Intensive behavioral interventions combined with dietary modifications and improved physical activity can lead to > 5% weight loss in obese adults.Pharmacological treatment (Orlistat, Liraglutide, Phentermine/Topiramate, Naltrexon/Buproprion, & Locaserin,) have very restricted efficacy, particularly in individuals with morbid obesity. Bariatric surgery such as sleeve gastrectomy SG and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass; is the most effective but most invasive therapy for morbid obesity.
