Spine has a small puncture and a little discolouration, front free endpaper stuck down onto pastedown, a little light foxing first leaf of publisher's adverts,lacks the leaf facing the title page, light age-toning to edges, otherwise sound and clean. 21 x 13.5cm. "The author has, at the hands of the publishers, considerably enlarged the work for the translator, and has added the literature of the subject to date, the translation may therefore be looked upon as an equivalent of a new and improved edition of the original.".
