The Rhind Mathematical Papyrus is a book that provides a detailed translation and commentary on two ancient Egyptian mathematical texts, British Museum 10057 and 10058. The book is written by Arnold Buffum Chace and includes a comprehensive bibliography of Egyptian mathematics. The texts in the papyrus are believed to have been written around 1650 BCE and contain a variety of mathematical problems and solutions, including calculations for area, volume, and fractions. Chace's translation and commentary provide insight into the mathematical knowledge and practices of the ancient Egyptians, as well as the historical context in which the papyrus was written. The book is a valuable resource for scholars and students of mathematics, history, and ancient cultures. In Two Volumes.
