Folio, illustrated front cover, the design featuring gum leaves, a map of Australia and the Southern Cross, printed in blue and gold by Reporter Print of Box Hill, Melbourne(light marks and small loss at upper right corner), 4 pp of music notation (very short tear at fore-edges, but clean). Probably published around the time of Federation, the composer of this piece of music remains obscure. (Saint Roque is the patron saint of sickness and suffering). Copies are recorded in four Australian collections (National Library of Australia; State Library of New South Wales; State Library of Victoria; Monash University Library). Douglas Stewart Fine Books sells rare books across all fields, but our strengths are in travel and exploration ? particularly of Australia and the Pacific ? and Australian art. In addition, we deal in all types of heritage material, including photographs, manuscripts, ephemera, maps and globes, and fine art.

We love meeting new people and welcoming visitors to our shop (open Monday to Saturday), but if you can't make it to Melbourne you can find probably find us at one of the major fairs in London, New York, Los Angeles, Amsterdam, Toronto, San Francisco, Boston, Hong Kong or Sydney - all places we have exhibited in since 2009.
