Uniform small quarto (260 x 200 mm), pictorial card covers (no. 6 in colour), all illustrated with b/w plates (issue no. 6 also with several colour plates); the covers of some issues with paper loss to spine or sunning, lower wrapper of no. 7 detached; internally sound and clean throughout all six issues. A short-lived but important Scandinavian journal of the early 1930s dedicated to Socialist realism. Issue number 6 (Design in the Soviet Union) is particularly important and sought-after, and includes poster art by Deinek, Lebedef, Feschin, Annenkof, Moor and other significant artists. Douglas Stewart Fine Books sells rare books across all fields, but our strengths are in travel and exploration ? particularly of Australia and the Pacific ? and Australian art. In addition, we deal in all types of heritage material, including photographs, manuscripts, ephemera, maps and globes, and fine art.
