One sheet, two sides, ,16 x 20 cm.TLS from Edwina, Countess Mountbatten (1900-1960) on headed paper, Admiralty House, Valletta, Malta, G.C. Dated 8th May 1954. Addressed in handwriting to "My dear Mr Fisher" and ending with handwritten signature "yours sincerely, Edwina Mountbatten of Burma" The letter thanks Mr Fisher for sending her some photographs, including one of her father she hadn't previously seen, also mentioning that her daughter Pamela had been very happy to make his acquaintance whilst visiting New Zealand. He had requested Pamela to put forward for a signature of Her Majesty the Queen on one of the photographs, but the request was denied by the Queen's private secretary.
