Reprint/First edition. Hardcovers. Top edge of Volume Two is foxed, otherwise both volumes are fine in fine dustjackets. A handsome matching set of Wharton's best stories, selected by Brookner who contributes informative introductions to each volume. There is often some confusion in listings of these selections (which is complete in two volumes). Volume One (published in 1988) was not labelled as such in some of the printings (the present volume being the third printing), but simply "The Stories of.", whereas the second published volume (the present copy a first printing thereof) is clearly noted as Volume Two. These books, heavy as a set, will cost more to send overseas, than any default postage rate noted. Australian domestic postage is set at $10, an overseas estimate is $25 for the pair.
