Single sheet, 530 x 430 mm, folding to 265 x 215 mm, lithograph printed in black and orange on both sides, with photographic process and line-drawn illustrations; mild edge wear, otherwise very good condition. A beautifully designed trade flyer for the New System Telephone Company (Melbourne and Sydney), chiefly promoting its in-house telephone system for businesses and institutions: 'New System Telephones eliminate misdirected energy, waste[d!] time & needless steps'; 'We will make your entire Establishment Inter-communicative for approximately 2d. per day for each department connected.' The flyer also advertises the new Round Call Signalling System (an early type of pager); a new loudspeaker telephone; the Laryngaphone (telephone headset) for pilots; and the Laryngaphone handset 'for noisy places'.
