Exemplaire 416 sur papier Vélin blanc+++++++ Edition originale de cet ouvrage d'André Warnod (1885-1960) avec les adorables illustrations de Julius Mordecai Pincas dit Jules Pascin (1885-1930). Jules Pascin est un dessinateur d'origine Bulgare et de nationalité américaine dont l'oeuvre humoristique croque avec merveille les nuits parisiennes (sa femme Hermine David et sa maîtresse Lucy Krogh ainsi que les pensionnaires des maisons closes et des lieux mal famés de la faune montmartroise). Il se lie en 1907 avec Hermine-Lionette Cartan dite Hermine David qui deviendra sa femme et part à la veille de la grande guerre aux Etats Unis. En 1920, c'est le retour à Paris du dandy et on le voit partout, dans les cabarets de Montmartre et de Montparnasse, il est de tous les bals, déguisements, fêtes et banquets. Puis ce sont des voyages dans le Maghreb, l'Italie, le sud de la France. il se suicide à 45 ans à Paris. Warnod adresse également un autographe de Pierre Louÿs témoignant de «son érudition sur les petites choses». Écrivain, dessinateur et critique d'art, il est le premier à avoir utilisé l'expression "École de Paris" pour désigner la vitalité de Paris sur la scène artistique internationale, et son pouvoir sur les artistes étrangers.
