Illustrated throughout with numerous woodcuts finely executed, as well as b/w and duo-tone photographic reproductions, this work tells the fascinating history of the construction of the Moscow metro as seen through the eyes of those who built it (engineers, architects, designers, drifters, diggers, drillers, etc.).
