De tulp is rijk geïllustreerd, onder meer met werk van Huysum, Bosschaert, Brueghel. Het boek bevat tevens beschrijvingen van tachtig wilde tulpensoorten en honderden tuinvariëteiten. Dit prachtig uitgevoerde en onweerstaanbare boek is voorbestemd een bijbel te worden, een universeel geschenk en een bezit waarin de eigenaar zich voor altijd zal verheugen.
