Zustand: Good. 1944. Reprinted. 200 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards. Black and white illustrations by Robert Austin. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Some cracking to gutters, but binding remains firm. Dedication to front free endpaper, dated 1944. Boards have moderate shelf wear with some rubbing, fraying and corner bumping. Some moderate marking and tanning.

Hardcover. Zustand: Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fair. Robert Austin (illustrator). In a grey cloth hardcover with red titles to spine. With an unclipped dust jacket with red and black titles to spine and front and a black and white drawing to the front. 200 pp. with 11 black and white drawings. The book is in good + condition. There is very minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover and the binding is tight. There are the ownership details of a T.A.N.S nurse dated 1944 to the ffep. There is light foxing to the feps and fore edge and a small spot to one page, otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is fair with and number of chips, tears and creases to the extremities. There is tanning, particularly to the spine.

Both endpapers tanned and lightly foxed. Spine slightly tanned. Otherwise clean and tight. Limited first edition; one of 1155 available copies. St. Bernardino of Siena (1380-1444) was a Franciscan priest known for his preaching and missionary work in Italy. Illustrated in black and white by Robert Austin.
