Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. This is number 219 of a limited number of 600 copies of which 550 were for sale. Includes the the signed original etching as frontis- piece. The book is bound in jute spine over blue paper covered boards with the title in black on the front cover and on a cream paper label on the spine. Covers have light soiling. Corners spine caps and edges are bumped with some fraying at the head of spine. There are a few spots of foxing in margins on the first two leaves, etching # 279 and 280 and on pp 98 and 99. Sprinkling of foxing on the edges. The tissue guard has two light tanned areas. The original etching is in pristine condition, pencil signed by Benson. Otherwise, the pages are clean, smooth and unmarked. Etchings in this volume were done in 1923-1928 and number 224-285. All illustrations are in black and white.
