The booklet is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The white covers have somes of ground-in dirt and spots of light discoloration, especially the front cover. The text pages are clean and bright. This is a brochure for the Rosicrucian Museum in San Jose, CA. "The founder of AMORC, Harvey Spencer Lewis, was a collector of various artifacts with mystical symbolism, some of them from the East. His very first artifact was a small Sekhmet statue. In 1921 he contributed financially to the archaeological excavations at Tel el Amarna (Akhetaten, the capital city of the 18th dynasty pharaoh Akhenaten) of the Egypt Explorations Society of Boston by receiving donations from AMORC members. In return, the Egypt Explorations Society donated several Egyptian antiquities to AMORC. In 1928, he presented to the public a collection named "The Rosicrucian Egyptian Oriental Museum", located at the administration buildings of AMORC at San Jose, California. Supposedly, the San Jose location was chosen because of the affordability of the land back then. After Lewis' tour in Egypt in 1929, AMORC received many more artifacts and donations, and as a result the collection grew significantly, with more than 2000 exhibits. " (from Wikipedia).

Leaflet is very clean and intact except for light age toning, slight wrinkling, a horizontal fold line at center, and four small closed tears at the edges (two measuring 1/4" on right edge from front and two at top and bottom edges each measuring 3/8"). This is a promotional leaflet advertising a free copy of The Secret Heritage, a book published by the Rosicrucians of the Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC), also known as the Rosicrucian Order. The Secret Heritage is a self-help book that is meant to help one discover their path and happiness in life. This particular ad references the Rosicrucians of Rosicrucian Park, San Jose, California. AMORC is the largest Rosicrucian organization in the world. Rosicrucianism is a spiritual and cultural esoteric movement that first made its appearance in seventeenth-century Europe. Many Rosicrucians state that the principles and tenets of Rosicrucianism can be traced to a number of cultures and movements including ancient Egypt, Brahmanism, the Pythagoreans, the Arabs, and Persia. Rosicrucian Park is the headquarters of AMORC's English Grand Lodge of the Americas. It was established in 1927 by Harvey Spencer Lewis. The park still stands to this day and the following have since been constructed on the property: the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum (1932), the Planetarium (1936), and a research library (1939).
