Title translate as: "The Theory of Groups of Final Order, With Applications on Algebraic Numbers and Equations as well as On the Crystallography." / "Andreas Speiser (1885?1970) was a Swiss mathematician and philosopher known for his work in group theory and the philosophy of mathematics. He was a professor at the University of Zurich and the ETH Zurich, and he made significant contributions to the understanding of the mathematical structures known as groups. Speiser's work in group theory included the classification of finite simple groups of order up to 200. He also worked on the theory of algebraic functions and the theory of Riemann surfaces. In addition to his mathematical work, Speiser was deeply interested in the philosophy of mathematics. He was influenced by the ideas of the German philosopher and mathematician Gottlob Frege, and he wrote extensively on the philosophical foundations of mathematics. Speiser was also a music lover and wrote about the mathematical structures in music. He was a friend of the composer Paul Hindemith and wrote a book about his music."
