paperback. Zustand: Fine. Brossura editoriale di pagine 128, testo originale a fronte. A cura di Vito Sivo. Leggere fioriture. Opera in ottime condizioni. Book.…

Paperback. Zustand: new. Paperback. This volume presents the first critical edition of the Anonymi In Iob Commentarius, which had erroneously been attributed to Origen; it is one of the longest and most important Latin Arian texts to have survived. The commentary, which treats the first chapters of the book of Job (1, 1 - 3, 19), has been transmitted in seven manuscripts and one early printing dependent upon a now lost manuscript. Language and style reveal that the text is based on sermons, which were preached during Holy Week by an Arian bishop of the late fourth century apparently in northern Italy. The pastoral concerns expressed in the commentary offer today's reader remarkable insight into the cultural and social environment of its author as well as details concerning liturgy, exegesis, spirituality and popular piety unavailable elsewhere This volume presents the first critical edition of the anonymous In Iob commentaries, which had erroneously been attributed to Origen; it is one of the longest and most important Latin Arian texts to have survived. Buch. Zustand: Neu. 245 pp. Deutsch.…

Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - The exegetical texts on Aristotle's Organon form a very extensive chapter of logic and the didactics of logic in Byzantium. A common form of this commentary, in addition to 'running commentaries' and individual scholia, are the numerous synopses and collections of definitions of terms, but also commentaries on individual passages of treatises of the Organon - these texts are usually transmitted anonymously. These are not only didactically orientated, canonical standard compendia of the theory of logic, but also texts that show a strong influence of Stoic logic and concern particular socio-cultural aspects of intellectual life in Byzantium. In this work, three such treatises and the accompanying diagrams are critically edited, annotated and translated into German.; Die exegetischen Texte zum aristotelischen Organon bilden ein sehr umfangreiches Kapitel der Logik bzw. der Didaktik der Logik in Byzanz.
