One of a limited, hand-numbered edition of 750, this is no. 594. Small quarto (260 x 200 mm), 86 pages. Printed and stencilled at the Curwen Press, Plaistow. Bennett s short story is accompanied by vibrant colour pochoir plates, stencilled by the American artist and graphic designer, Edward McKnight Kauffer, who is best known for his poster art work. Some sunning to spine, with some light marks to cloth covered boards in places. Page edges are untrimmed, endpapers are a little toned, but content and illustrations are clean and bright throughout. Comes complete with the original balck slip case, title label at spine is a little faded, with some marks and scuffs to edges. Both are in very good condition indeed.…
