Offered is an original sales brochure entitled "catalogue of ASCH-STINSON-RECORDS - jazz folksay - american, foreign" published, as stated, by the "Manufacturers Representative" Stinson Trading Company out of New York City. A large sheet folded twice, as issued, to form six pages including front cover, with each page measuring 5-3/8" by 8-1/2". No date, although probable 1943, when Asch Records [Moe Asch] and Stinson Records [Herbert Harris and Irving Prosky] formed a partnership, which lasted from 1943-1946. Four of the pages are devoted to record releases on the Asch Label (Folksay, Blues, Songs by Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie, Burl Ives, Josh White, Country Dances, "Strictly G.I.," Ballad of Franklin D., Poems by Langston Hughes, Songs of the Lincoln Battalion, Sholem Asch's In The Beginning, Jazz Listings [Mary Lou Williams & Orchestra, John Kirby & Orchestra, Mary Lou Williams Trio, Meade Lux Lewis, Stuff Smith Trio, Art Tatum Trio, James P. Johnson, Jazz Variations], Hot Jazz [Coleman Hawkins, Jerry Jerome and All His Stars], Classic [Bach, Debussy, Flamenco]) with the rear page featuring Official Soviet Records and Jewish music from Stinson Records.
