Hardcover. Zustand: Fair. No Jacket. Third impression. The spine has a large surface tear to almost the entirety of the front edge and abrasion to head and tail. The board corners are heavily scuffed with loss of surface. Light marking to board faces. Inscription to front paste-down. No hinge or gutter cracks. The leaves are sec…ure and in good condition, with moderate thumbing and small (1cm) tears to the top edge of two leaves. The pages are generally clean, with occasional light stains. A few of the B&W illustrations have been elegantly water-coloured by a previous user (photo 5). Light staining to text block edges. Measures 25.1 x 18.9 x 3.4cm. 256 pages.
