Kataloga alinan bu kandiller; haznesine (acik-kapali), bicim, govde ve fitil deligine gore iki ana tip ve bunlarin alt gruplarina ayrilmis, tamaminin on uc farkli formda oldugu tespit edilmistir. Ayrica Anadolu ve Anadolu disindaki bazi muzelerde benzer kandil ornekleriyle Karatay Muzesindeki kandillerin degerlendirilmesi sonucunda ilk kez bir butun halinde kandillerin tipolojisi yapilmistir.
