Original Titled Card Cover. Zustand: Good. 1st Edition. after a brief introduction there filows two dialogues between London visitors ( they be people from Lunnun) and some Soersetshirerustics accaomadaed in a Farm house in Weston Suprr Nmre whenn all other accomadaion was booked - in 1826. Amusing full page skwtches of the dramatis personae. 20p several full page plates. The sewn binding is failing with one plate loose. The book is very dusty and there are some internal marks and evidence of handling. Still an interesting period piece. Loosely inside is a very attractive coloured hand-drawn map of the village of Loxton on linen. See scans.

Hardcover. Zustand: Fair-. Corners bumped and worn, cloth spine sunned, green paper cover sunned and soiled, spine loose, internall clean. Copy belonged to co-author Rufus M. Jones (his name written in pencil).

Soft cover. Zustand: Fair. 20 pages + 6 plates. In the original printed paper covers. The paper throughout is very browned and brittle. Lower outer corner is missing from the front cover. Several other tips of corners also missing. Pencil note to page 6 indicates that it was first printed in 1855. Fair condition only. Book.

Occasional marks to boards, wear with loss to spine tips & corners, chipping to spine, free endpapers well browned, contents very lightly age browned.
