Balam, Gilberto. Tlatelolco: Reflexiones de un Testigo. Tercera Edicion. 1969. Text in Spanish. Illustrated blue and magenta wrappers with photos of a large Mexican crowd of peaceful protesters. Balam was a left wing Mexican activist and was present at the demonstrations and battle fronts promoted by the student movement. On October 2, 1968 in the Tlatelolco section of Mexico City, the Mexican Armed Forces opened fire on a group of unarmed civilians, mainly college students, in the Plaza de las Tres Culturas who were protesting the upcoming Olympics. Pencil annotations throughout the first few pages. Minor wear to covers and a small tear at the bottom right corner. Binding is tight and else clean. Overall good condition.…
