Babes in Birdland 1st Edition, 1st Printing in Good Minus condition. The front cover has moderate soiling, wear, pencil markings, and heavily worn corners. The spine is moderately to heavily faded(very common for this Edition). The rear board has moderate to heavy wear and soiling. The contents of the book are in fair to good condition. Moderate soiling and stains throughout as well as several pencil markings. Beautifully illustrated by Maginel Enright with 6 of 8 color plates present, plates facing pages 48 and 114 are missing. Tight binding.

This is an original 1911 printing of this famous book with yellow hardcovers and illustration of 2 children playing on the front cover. The book is complete and in Fair condition with loads of color illustrations - the text and pages are in great shape - the covers show some general soiling and the Main problem is the front cover is partially detached with a 4" split along the hinge at the top of the front cover. I have placed the book in a fresh mylar jacket and the cover is hanging on. This is a great reading copy. We always ship in a sturdy box.
