Third edition dated 1874 from the printer's mark at rear octavo hardback Pictorial gilt brown cloth all edges gilt viii + 226 pp 7 coloured plates by Walter Crane (deduced from his monogram on some plates) so probably lacking a colour frontispiece. Many wood cut illustrations by Griset and Barnard Gilt rubbed and dull, Good condition overall. No inscriptions.

This copy is in fine, unmarked condition bound in blue/grey cloth covered boards with bright gilt titling to the spine and upper board where there red and black decoration. There is a blind bouquet device to the lower board. This copy is bright, tight, white and square. A dustwrapper is not called for. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. This edition is undated but it is believed to be middle to late nineteenth century. It is copiously illustrated by wood cuts by Frederick Barnard engraved by the Brothers Dalziel.
