Softcover. Zustand: VG+, VG+. EXHIBITION catalog: Blue/gray/red/black illustrated wraps. 200 pp. EXTENSION: Red and black illustrated wraps. 132 pp. Both have profuse color and BW illustrations. Text in Portuguese and English. EXHIBITION CATALOGUE to accompany the show held at the Museum of Modern Art in Sao Paulo, 25 October 2001 to 06 January 2002. Includes images of the exhibited works, interviews with groups of artists, a checklist of works, and numerous essays (such as: The artist as curator, by Ricardo Basbaum; A possible map, by Paulo Reis; Panorama, by Ricardo Resende), and more. EXTENSION to the exhibition catalog. From p. 101: 'This book serves as an important part of the curatorial proposal for the Panorama of Brazilian Art 2001. Some artists invited to participate in the show are present only in this book and not in the exhibition space. Moreover, this seemed the most appropriate way to present some special insertions that we think fundamental to our project. In preparing a book that works as an extension of the exhibition -that is, a publication where propositions materialized just for this media-we intend to also establish a continuity of the issues addressed in the museum, activating new interfaces through a network of circuits given by the spectators. ' Paul Reis, Ricardo Basbaum and Ricardo Resende.

In den WarenkorbOriginal brochure, 11*16 cm. Zustand: Gut. 154 p. With dedication of the 1st copy by Ricardo Basbaum to Max [Hinderer] + Falke [Pisano]. - Binding minimally rubbed, otherwise good and very clean. Bilingual Portuguese and English. - Alex Hamburger and Ricardo Basbaum met each other, in Rio de Janeiro, in the first half of the 1980s, a period which is marked by the beginning of their initiatives towards the local art circuit. Right from the start they were drawn to each other due to a mutual interest regarding interactive possibilities of language fusion and interweaving. Hamburger took the poetic experience as a departure point, developing throughout the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s works in Visual and Sound Poetry, Object Poems, Artists Books, Performances. Installations,Video, etc., thus contributing to a greater understanding and acceptance of these techniques that were still incipient in the Cariocas art scene of the 1980s. He worked in partnership with the artist Marcia X., with whom he established a highly fruitful collaboration for 8 years. Basbaum has been exhibiting regularly since 1981, when he was a member of Dupla Especializada (alongside Alexandre Dacosta) and Seis Maos (together with Alexandre Dacosta and Barráo) and participated in the activities of A Moreninha group. From 1990 onwards, he collaborated with the Visorama group, was co-editor of item magazine and co-director of the Agora agency. With diagrams, drawings, texts, audio pieces and installations, he creates devices through which a relevant role is played by the personal and individual experience of agents and observers. pt Gewicht in Gramm: 550.
