In the latter half of his life, he became equally renowned as a teacher, shaping generations of musicians as a professor and later chair of Jazz Studies at the University of North Florida, where he emphasized creativity, individuality, and critical listening. Through both his recordings and his mentorship, Bunky Green left a lasting mark on modern jazz culture.
