We believe Mr. Jefferson may have been the binder. Beautifully bound in a heavy patterned leather, highly detailed gilt framing of both covers, additional large rose illustration center of front cover. This decoration contains minisule tinting or onlays of the leather. All corners and head and foot of spine showing some wear, rubbing. No board is showing. Spine section has raised cording that is also tooled. Interior endpapers also highly detailed leatherwork with gilt, moire paper fep. Tip-in autograph sheet with numbering and half-title. hand tinted title page, three repeating illustration plates showing matching illustration in hand-tint, sephia, black and white - all retain protective tissues.
