It appears to be a First Edition First Printing book since it has the "A" on the last page's lower right hand corner. It is 6 5/8" by 7 15/16" and has about 24 pages with hard cover laminated pictorial boards and full color nostalgic illustrations throughout. Mulford, who wrote a series of short stories and novels based on the character. This book is written and illustrated for the young reader, with a short story based on Mulford's character. The book is bound in the original thick card boards with colour titling and an illustration on the front board and a list of other books in the publisher's Little Golden Library Series on the rear board. The book is in very good condition with some shelf wear and light soiling on the boards and rubbing to the spine ends and corner tips. There is a little loss to the paper covering the spine ends. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription.
