He served as the president and executive director of the Employers Association of Chicago for nearly two decades. In 1933, he was one of the first to publicly state that Murray "The Camel" Humphreys had succeeded Al Capone as the leader of the Chicago Outfit. This book serves as a report on the "criminal army" of racketeers.
