Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. American Book Company, 1911, New York. Hard Cover. Book Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: None. No printing history available, thus unknown edition, unknown printing. 7-1/2" tall, 466 numbered pages; one-piece tan binding, black lettering with red decorating the spine and front panel; plain ivory end pages; fore edge is trimmed. Book is very much used: it is square, hinges tight, all four corners bumped with wear and fabric damage with boards exposed, no dings on edges, head and heel of spine worn with fabric damage; 1" fabric tear at top front gutter ridge; rubbing with some color loss on front board. The interior also has signs of heavy use: FFEP and rear end pages have ink and pencil scribbling; there are some titles underlined in the Table of Contents, but in leafing through the book, I have seen no marking, staining, tape or other damage in the text of the book. Paper is lightly toned but still quite flexible; hinges are tight and undamaged; spine is not cracked; numerous illustrations. Though worn, considering that it was likely an elementary school text book that is likely more than a century old, it is in rather decent condition.
