Dobkin served on the Museum's Board of Directors from its inception and supported the arts and artistic community in Israel. In retirement, he devoted time and energy to the Museum and to his collection, with particular affection for its glass objects. | His interest in ancient glass reflected both its beauty and the significance of glassmaking in ancient Israel, as well as the region's major role in the history of glass. The book was brought to fruition with curatorial assistance, editing and translation from Hebrew, and advice from colleagues at the Israel Museum. (LL).…
