Pascin was born in Bulgaria in 1885, schooled in Vienna and Munich, lived in Paris prior to World War I, and became an American citizen in 1920. These were broken to open the item, but are still attached. The item measures 11x17 inches unfolded and is printed on two sides, with 4 panels on each side. One side (4 panels) serves as the exhibition poster, with the name (Edge of Desire: Recent Art in India), date (June 14-September 17, 2006) and place (University of California, Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive) noted. This exhibition brought together the work of contemporary artists throughout India. The poster art is by Surendran Nair, one of India's preeminent artists. The other side includes the mailing information on one side. Two panels offer programmatic information. The final panel is a cover panel, with the image used for the poster.
