Scarce vintage title - decent clean firm interior for the age with no actual usage marks or stains, contains a f/p illustration complete with tissue-guard, some heavy foxing to e/papers and pages browned to edges - dulled/browned to closed edge of pages; cloth boards are in good clean firm condition generally with light usage, just faint patchy marking to lower rear, bright gilt lettering to spine area and clear decoration and title to front as shown./.

Illustrations (including facsimiles of Lawrence's MS record of the writing, printing and distribution of Seven Pillars which is the basis of Bertram Rota's article, and the first page of the earliest surviving MS of Seven Pillars) Very nice copy. With authorial manuscript corrections Bertram Rota was never shown a proof of his article and on first seeing the published text he spotted four egregious misprints which he corrected, or caused to be corrected, in every copy he could find.
