Biographical Essay of Hans Christian Heg, fro1829-1863, beginning in south-eastern Norway and ending on the fields of Chickamauga in northern Georgia where he was killed. He led a regiment of Scandinavian soldiers from Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota to the battlefields of the South in the Civil War.
