Volume I covers the underlying principles and the special technical procedures of therapeutics, Volume II focuses on drugs, toxicology and the infectious diseases; Volume III is on mycoses, protozoa and metazoa, intoxications, physical agents, edema and dehydration, acidosis and alkalosis, preoperative treatment, respiratory, cardiac and circulatory diseases; Volume IV discusses the alimentary tract, the peritoneum, liver and gallbladder, pancreas, genito-urinary tract, blood-forming organs, and the locomotor system; and Volume V covers the nervous system, metabolism, endocrines, vitamins, allergies, the skin, the sulfonamides, and has the index for the set. Minor wear, a couple of the volumes have bookplates on front end papers. Volumes I and II were published in 1940, Volumes III, IV and V in 1941. This heavy set will require additional postage. Book.
