These publications are still considered today as very important source books and a reprint has long been overdue. the author's facts are accurate, and at the same time, his writing is very interesting and of a pleasant style. The importance of this book is well illustrated by the fact that it was prescribed by the Department of Cultural History of the University of Stellenbosch.'.
