Garcia-Janis MD is a child and adult psychiatrist, a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, who was the chief medical officer of the Child Psychiatric Services at one of the largest comprehensive mental health services in the U.S. She has gone on intensive short-term volunteer missions during the aftermath of natural disasters, such as the Thailand tsunami, the volcanic eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines, and Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Garcia-Janis also worked for the clean water for the world cause in Africa and worked with the refugees in Costa Rica. She was the founder and chairman of the Phoenix Global Humanitarian Foundation. Currently she is a locum tenens psychiatrist and works serving children, adolescents and adults in various states.…
