Soiled upper page edges and with the contents fine. The map case is dented and soiled with sunning to the spine which has been marked 'Vol IV' in ink. The cloth at the top of the case is missing and has been replaced with red paper. The inside of the case has some white tape repairs and a small bookseller label. All 12 maps are present and in fine condition. In addition are 6 fine modern black & white double sided maps, possibly copies of those which would be in the first map case.
