18 separate leaves, for a total of 35 pages (all but one are printed on both sides), (8.5 x 11 inches), b&w photos. Fine condition, bright and crisp, no creases or tears, no markings. These are pages carefully removed from a community newsletter which was published in Los Alamos, New Mexico. They are from issues dated June 2, 16, 30, July 14, 28, Aug 11, 25, Sept 8 and 22, 1960. Photos from the 1940's, relations with local Indian Pueblos, Edith Warner, the army, the tech area, housing, the school, community activities, social events, the British Mission, relations with Santa Fe, the water crisis, et al. The author lived in Los Alamos from 1943 to the end of the war. Her reminiscences are printed here for the first time. On the last page there is a photo of her and the building where she lived in Los Alamos. The pages are stapled together at the upper left corner, and are in a large maniula envelope imprinted with the LASL return address. From the days before it became LANL.
