MG William F. Dean is listed as Division Cdr. After the Korean national election, the U.S. occupation officially ended and the newly elected Korean government took over on 15 August 1948. Dean became commander of the 7th Infantry Division in Korea and immediately began arranging for the division's withdrawal to northern Japan. After the 7th's move was completed in January 1949, LTG Walton H. Walker appointed Dean as Chief of Staff of the Eighth Army. So this was likely published in late 1948. Latest reference in text is 27 September 1948. Good oversized softcover copy; covers a bit worn, but nice overall, with no internal markings. (789).
