This was entrusted to Pierre Buch, a specialist in digital processes, who scanned the glass plates and films, restored the digital files, prepared the images for this edition and produced enlargements on art paper for a travelling exhibition. Vanaf 8 september exposeert Pe…iser tegelijkertijd in galerij Campo & Campo en in Museum De Reede. De tentoonstelling Kurt Peiser Eindelijk thuis bij Campo & Campo brengt 136 werken van alle formaten samen die de kunstenaar produceerde in de periode tussen 1907 en 1961. Alle thema's die de kunstenaar in zijn carrière heeft behandeld komen aan bod: het leven in de haven, langs de Schelde en Noordzee, werk, feesten, genretaferelen, portretten. Al is hij vandaag weinig bekend bij het grote publiek, heeft Kurt Peiser tijdens zijn leven wel succes gekend. In 1924 en 1934 was hij aanwezig op de Biënnale van Venetië. In 1928 exposeerde hij in de beroemde Galerie Giroux in Brussel. Zijn werken zijn te vinden in privécollecties over de hele wereld en behoren tot de collecties van de Hermitage, het Poesjkin Museum, het British Museum, de Koninklijke Bibliotheek van België, het Museum De Reede en het Joods Museum van Brussel. 0 g.
