Brossura editoriale, coperta illustrata a colori. All'interno numerose illustrazioni fotografiche in b/n e a colori. Soft cover. Zustand: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition. Softcover. Signed by John L. Hoffman (Director of Public Relations). A pristine and exceptionally well preserved example of the ABA's final official guide, produced for the historic 1975-76 season. Softcover is clean, bright, and remarkably sharp, showing no rubbing, creasing, or edge wear. Binding is tight, square, and unread, with excellent structural integrity. Interior pages are crisp, bright, and immaculate, free of all markings, underlining, highlighting, or writing. Very light, uniform age toning consistent with 1970s production, but no spotting or staining. Hoffman's signature adds notable provenance and elevates this copy into premium collector grade territory. A superior signed example of one of the most historically significant publications of the ABA's final year. In Hoffman's official executive capacity, he oversaw the compilation, editing, and full production of the Official 1975-1976 American Basketball Association Guide. Because the 1975-76 campaign ultimately became the ABA's final season of independent play before four surviving franchises merged with the NBA in the summer of 1976, this last guide produced under Hoffman's leadership stands as an essential historical document and a highly desirable collector's artifact for basketball historians. The Official 1975-76 American Basketball Association Guide remains a cornerstone reference for the ABA's closing chapter, capturing the league's statistics, team rosters, schedules, records, franchise histories, and player data during a pivotal transitional year. Published annually by The Sporting News, these guides served as the league's authoritative record books, preserving detailed information on every ABA club and its stars. The 1975-76 season was a landmark moment in professional basketball, showcasing legendary talents such as Julius "Dr. J" Erving, Artis Gilmore, Dan Issel, George Gervin, and David Thompson as the league approached its historic merger with the NBA. Hoffman's final edition documents this colorful era with precision, offering researchers and collectors a definitive snapshot of the ABA's last stand. A significant and collectible volume for basketball historians, ABA enthusiasts, sports memorabilia collectors, and admirers of 1970s professional basketball, representing the end of one of the sport's most innovative and influential leagues.
