El delirio de interpretación", de Paul Sérieux y Joseph Capgras. Por muchas razones, esta monografía constituye uno de los grandes hitos de la psicopatología psiquiátrica. Cuenta entre sus virtudes la de conjugar una prosa elegante y precisa, una aguda mirada sobre las experiencias características de la paranoia y una metodología nosológica que deriva del clasicismo de su análisis psicopatológico. Los argumentos desarrollados por los autores, amén de las influencias provenientes de la escuela francesa y de algunos autores alemanes, suizos e italianos, se nutren del estudio de unos sesenta casos seguidos durante décadas; cuarenta fueron observados y tratados por ellos, los otros pertenecen a la casuística del profesor Régis. A estas observaciones clínicas se añaden la patobiografía del filósofo Jean-Jacques Rousseau y una selección de textos del dramaturgo August Strindberg, estudios mediante los que exploran la escritura de los alienados como un terreno propio de la semiología de la locura.\n\nLa obra está dedicada a los «interpretadores puros», es decir, a esos sujetos que, sin ver visiones ni oír voces, desvarían pero a la vez manifiestan una extraña articulación entre la locura y la razón que les hace merecedores del calificativo de «locos razonantes». Siguiendo una metodología clásica, Sérieux y Capgras describen sucesivamente los síntomas, los tipos y combinaciones de las ideas delirantes, las distintas variedades del delirio de interpretación, la génesis y las posibles causas. Una vez expuestas las consideraciones anteriores, dedican un capítulo al diagnóstico y la clínica diferencial, estableciendo la oposición entre el delirio de interpretación y el delirio de reivindicación. Finalmente, tras evocar el marco histórico de las locuras razonantes, los autores justifican la autonomía de esta especie morbosa y la sitúan en una clasificación nosográfica. La monografía se cierra con algunas consideraciones terapéuticas y médico-legales, a las que sigue un amplio Apéndice dedicado al delirio de interpretación en algunas obras literarias. Libros.
