Wraps. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition. Uniformly printed, single sheets 10-1/2 x 17', folded three times making four panels per side, or, eight panels altogether. Each 'pamphlet' reproducing a work of art on the 'cover'; the rest of the panels on this side are uniformly designed and offer a description of the art with a biography of the artists; a bibliography for the poet; and a biography of the poet, with the colophon at the bottom. The recto contains poetry only, from five to eight poems depending on the poet. Each pamphlet with a little bit of age-toning, but altogether a better than Very Good set; lacking the publishers manila envelope. Rare thus. // Published by the Portland Art Museum for the Northwest Poetry Meetings held at the Museum July 9, 10, 11, and 12 in connection with the invitational exhibition, 'Paintings and Sculptures of the Pacific Northwest', which ran June 13 through August 9, 1959. Really quite a remarkable collection of Northwest poets; this group of 8 represents a full collection of those published, and includes the first separate publication of Richard Hugo, Carolyn Kizer, Carol Hall, John Haislip, and William Stafford (poetry). Artists include: Sally Haley; Margaret Tomkins; James McGarrell; Milton Wilson; Tony Mellara; Louis Bunce; Hilda Morris; and William Ivey.

In den WarenkorbPaperback. Zustand: new. Paperback. More than thirty years have passed since Jessie Butler last laid eyes on Clayton Matthews. Their teenage romance was torn apart by an event that shattered her world--something she could not forgive Clayton for at the time, until now. Even through a twenty-two year loveless marriage to Wilson Barfield, and a four-year uneventful relationship with Jace Edwards, Jessie's heart yearned to see Clayton again. She and her trusty horse, McCall, head off to Cry Baby Mountain in search of the old abandoned cabin where she and Clayton used to spend hours in each other's arms, only to encounter a brutal attack by an unknown assailant. While searching for the truth of who would want to do her harm, she discovers that Clayton is dead. But is he really, or is someone trying to keep her from finding him? She sets out on a long journey that takes her from the Cherokee Indian Reservation in North Carolina to Kentucky, and then to Shakespeare Ghost Town near Deming, New Mexico, where more danger awaits her. Will she find Clayton? Is the man known as Luke Johnson really her Clayton? What does the FBI want with her? Whose body is found in her barn, and what does that have to do with Clayton's whereabouts? Find out as you follow Jessie on her quest to make sense out of her life as she sets out on a dangerous journey to find Clayton, the only man she ever loved. This item is printed on demand.
