Kunst / Grafik / Poster
Poster by Italian artists Gianni Emilio Simonetti and Gianni Sassi published by their avant-garde publishing house, ED.912. Printed in an edition of 500. This poster was the eighth in ED.912's 1967 "No." series. It reproduces a US Army death notification used to notify families of Vietnam War casualties superimposed over an image of a young soldier. While the colophon credits Cavan McCarthy as the poster's creator, its true authors are Simonetti and Sassi, two artists associated with the Situationist and Fluxus movements of the 1960s. Offset. 27 ½ x 19 ½ in. Very good; two pieces of tape, two additional patches of adhesive residue on verso.
