Une approche globale basée sur l interpolation à travers des fonctions d activation de multiples modèles LTI autour de différents points de fonctionnement a été élaboré ces dernières années. Il s agit d une représentation polytopique du même type que les modèles Takagi-Sugeno. Ces dernières années, l approche multimodèle a attiré l'attention de la communauté des automaticiens. Ce choix est motivé par le désir d asseoir les problèmes d'analyse et de synthèse de contrôlleurs et d'observateurs, sur des bases numériques formulés en Inégalités Matricielles Linéaires (LMI). Ainsi, des conditions de synthèse de lois de commande par retour d état et retour de sortie non linéaire ont été considérées. Les conditions obtenues s expriment sous forme de bilinéaires (BMI).
