No Binding. Zustand: Fair. Image is of a group of about 44 athletes all in a line dressed for running and wearing their respective club jersies outside Michael Conway's pub. His name is over the door and at the side of the building there is a sign that reads: "The Half Way House Conway's Special Drinks Best Quality Only." I am not 100% certain where the pub was located. However I suspect that it was beyond Finglas in North County Dublin. Around this period and from the 1880's Athletic clubs engaged in cross country running on the outskirts of Dublin City. The clubs ran invitation events in whiich athletes from a number of clubs would participate. If anyone can confirm the precise location of this pub that information would be welcome. Image is mounted on board. Photo is somewhat faded, edgeworn and nicked, but the core image is good. Unique one off image.…
